Chris became the Chair of the RDC in February 2023, after being Vice Chair from May 2022. He is an approved parliamentary candidate and is the prospective parliamentary candidate (PPC) for Vauxhall and Camberwell Green, and the Lambeth & Southwark Constituency candidate for the Greater London Assembly. A social entrepreneur and community campaigner, he runs his own community focussed business, and founded and runs an LGBTQ+ charity. He will use his own experience of going through the process, from building the confidence to do so to becoming a PPC.

Sam became the Vice Chair of the RDC in February 2023. Sam is a member of a number of community groups and an activist and advocate for promoting racial diversity. She was a Director of Windrush Legal Angels, a group of legal and social professionals who came together to fight for justice and support the victims of the Windrush scandal. As a woman of colour, who also has disabilities, Sam will help to support and educate candidates. Sam’s activism work means she has cultivated a number of connections within the community from lawyers to community leaders who can be of help and support to our candidates.
